~ Common Areas ~

As part of our unobtrusive service, the exquisitely carved front door has a keyless entry for easy access at any hour. Once inside, guests are all welcome to enjoy our sitting room, the adjacent dining room, kitchen, and the third floor's sundeck or informal parlour. Each is a perfect retreat for private relaxation or for meeting with friends.

There is an information area adjacent to the first floor powder room with local area maps, restaurant recommendations, seasonal event listings, etc. and a special display of free tickets and discounts, when available. Feel free to browse, or ask your hostess for suggestions.

The twelve-foot ceilings soar above the original Giannini and Hilgart stained glass windows, carved doors, pocket shutters, ceiling medallion and beautiful woodwork. The furniture does not disappoint either, with the highlight being a matching pair of ornately-carved 18th century French armchairs.

Sitting Room Fireplace

With its Eastlake embellishments of polished cherrywood and glazed ceramic tiles, this fireplace warms the room even without a flame. It even can steal the scene from a roomful of antiques and many of the home's original architectural details.

The dining room has retained its original black walnut bordered oak floors, silk shaded hand-made chandelier, and more Giannini and Hilgart stained glass over the butler's pantry. By closing the heavy cherry and oak pocket doors, one may enjoy a private meeting or meal.
